Job Description
We are seeking an experienced WordPress Developer to join SEO (Marketing) team. You will own and develop multiple marketing/SEO websites for key game brands, working closely with SEO strategists and DevOps to deliver fast, robust, and future-ready sites.The ideal candidate is a hands-on WordPress developer with strong PHP/JS skills, strong attention to detail and QA, and proficiency in using AI tools to improve speed, quality, and
workflows. You are highly organized and can reliably estimate effort and timelines so work is prioritized and delivered effectively.

Key Responsibilities
Website Ownership & Development
• Own the full technical lifecycle of multiple WordPress-based marketing/SEO sites, including maintenance, new development, and deployment.
• Develop and maintain themes and plugins aligned with brand, SEO, and performance requirements.
• Implement responsive layouts based on design and SEO specifications.
• Keep the codebase clean, modular, and well-documented.
Technical SEO Implementation
• Implement technical SEO requirements defined by the SEO team, including schema, canonicals, hreflang, redirects, XML sitemaps, robots.txt updates, pagination rules, SEO-friendly URL structures, internal linking logic, and template-level markup.
Performance, Quality & QA
• Ensure high Core Web Vitals, fast loading times, and consistent responsive behavior across devices and browsers.
• Implement and fine-tune performance techniques such as caching, image optimization, minification, lazy loading, and CDNs.
• Set up and maintain QA processes including staging environments, regression tests, pre-release checklists, and automated or scripted checks where appropriate.
• Monitor regressions and own technical fixes end to end.

SRE & DevOps Collaboration
• Collaborate closely with DevOps on deployments, environments, static delivery, CDNs, backups, and security.
• Follow best practices for Git, branching, code reviews, and rollbacks. AI-Powered Productivity & Innovation
• Act as a super-user of AI tools for coding, refactoring, QA, documentation, monitoring, and workflow automation.
• Continuously experiment with new tools and workflows to reduce delivery time and raise quality.

Requirements
• 4+ years of hands-on experience as a WordPress Developer on complex sites.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3/SASS.
• Deep understanding of WordPress core, hooks, template hierarchy, and the plugin/theme ecosystem.
• Proven experience building and maintaining custom themes and plugins.
• Solid experience with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Understanding of web security basics
• Experience with staging/production environments, migrations, and deployment pipelines.
• Demonstrated ability to estimate and plan work accurately and hit agreed timelines – experience with Monday.com an advantage
• High ownership, curiosity, self-learning, and exceptional attention to detail, quality, and consistency.
• Strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple websites and concurrent tasks.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate across marketing, SEO, design, and DevOps.

Advantages
• Practical understanding of technical SEO fundamentals, including URL structures, redirects, canonicals, hreflang, robots rules, and sitemaps.
• Experience in marketing/SEO-focused gaming websites
• Comfortable working with SEO requirements, discussing feasibility, and suggesting technical improvements.
• Hands-on work with server logs or observability tools to analyze bot behavior.
• Familiarity with how LLM-based bots and AI search products interpret and surface site content.
